
The unveiling ceremony for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Key Laboratory of Crop-Animal Ecological Agriculture Technology was held on May 19 at the Ningbo Academy of Agricultural Sciences. As a national agricultural science and technology innovation platform, the laboratory was initiated by Ningshing Holdings in partnership with Ningbo University and the Ningbo Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It became one of only three ministry-level key laboratories in Ningbo spearheaded by local enterprises.
The ceremony gathered distinguished attendees, including Ms. Zhang Ruili, Party Secretary of Ningbo University, Mr. Luo Jianmin, Party Group Member of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Director of Zhejiang Provincial Animal Husbandry and Agricultural Machinery Development Center, Mr. Fei Xiaochen, Director of the Ningbo Science & Technology Bureau, Ms. Wang Jiaoli, Party Secretary of the Ningbo Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Ms. Xu Na, Deputy Director of the Ningbo Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau and Mr. Wu Yigang, Chairman of Ningshing Holdings, as well as industrial experts and Co-built unit representatives.

On behalf of the three co-building parties, Mr. Wu Yigang delivered a address at the event. He stressed that the new platform integrated the academic strengths of universities, the technical capacity of research institutes, and the industrial advantages of enterprises. It aimed to resolve core technical bottlenecks in crop-animal circular integration and facilitate the translation of theoretical research into on-site agricultural applications.

Mr. Luo Jianmin said that the provincial agricultural authority would offer continuous policy support in project approval, resource coordination and talent cultivation to sustain the laboratory’s steady development.

Mr. Zhang Hongfu, Director of the Key Laboratory, outlined its core research priorities, which included grain and forage yield improvement, insect protein development, marine fishery by-product utilization and pet economy exploration. He also released a clear phased development plan: building solid foundational progress within one year, achieving preliminary industrial outcomes in three years, and developing a nationally renowned eco-agricultural innovation center within five years.

Following the official unveiling ceremony, all participants toured the laboratory exhibition hall.



Ningshing Holdings committed to further deepening strategic collaboration with its partners. By capitalizing on complementary strengths among all parties, the co-built team strove to build a national benchmark for Eco-agricultural innovation and advance the green upgrading of modern agriculture in the region.
